Dear passengers, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience with Lotus Train, please take a moment to read through this important information before your departure:
1. About Lotus Train & Boarding Please note that Lotus Train is not a standalone private train. We operate specially upgraded, high-quality carriages that are attached to the national railway trains SE19 and SE20. Your ticket clearly states your train number (SE19 or SE20) along with your assigned carriage and berth number. To board, simply show your ticket to the staff. Unlike taking a flight, train staff usually do not require you to show your passport.
2. Station Guide & Finding Your Train

Departing from Hanoi (Train SE19): If you have heavy luggage or mobility issues, we highly recommend entering through Gate 1C on the ground floor. Turn right, walk around track 1 (where train SE3 is parked), and you will find train SE19 on Track 6. Find your designated carriage from there. (You can also use Gate 2B on the 2nd floor and take the stairs down to Track 6, but please be aware that the stairs are not luggage/mobility-friendly).

Departing from Ninh Binh (Train SE19): The train will arrive on Track 1. You can relax in the general waiting room, or use the VIP lounge (accessible if you purchase a drink there).

Departing from Da Nang (Train SE20): Train SE20 will park right outside the waiting room doors. You can easily spot it from inside the waiting area.

Departing from Hue to Ninh Binh/Hanoi (Train SE20): Please wait in Waiting Room 1 or 2 (do not wait in Room 3). The station will make boarding announcements in English when train SE20 is about to arrive.

Departing from Dong Hoi to Ninh Binh/Hanoi (Train SE20): Because the train arrives late at night, there is no need to arrive too early. The station is usually very quiet at this hour, sometimes dimly lit, and station staff typically appear only about 30 minutes before the train arrives.
3. Food, Drinks & Amenities As mentioned on your ticket, the price includes your train tickets, a nice and clean cabin, free Wi-Fi, welcome snacks, a bottle of water, a can of beer or Coke, and a prepacked light breakfast (croissants, toast, banana, fruits, and instant coffee).
Important note about meals: Unfortunately, we do not provide food for lunch or dinner. While there is a dining car on the train, the food quality there is not great. We highly recommend bringing your own food for dinner. Additionally, if you wish to buy coffee or snacks from the uniformed Vietnam Railways staff pushing carts along the aisle, please note that you will need to pay them directly, as they are not Lotus Train staff.
